Abdoulaye Guèye 'Dembelé' is off to a flying start this season. The 21-year-old Senegalese forward scored a hat-trick in just five minutes with DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, during the team's crushing victory over Svätý Peter (13-0) in the Slovak Cup.
Coming on with his teammates already firmly in control of the match, Guèye struck between the 31st and 37th minute, notably scoring two goals within the space of two minutes. He thus contributed to his team's offensive showcase.
This performance brings his tally to five goals in all competitions this season, including two in the Europa Conference League preliminary rounds. A particularly encouraging start to the campaign for a player who mainly operates on the wing.
A progression worth following
Guèye's journey certainly deserves attention. Having come through Builders FC in Senegal, then spells in the United Arab Emirates and Latvia, he joined DAC 1904 in 2025 with the ambition of reaching a new level in Europe.
Pace, versatility and the ability to play with both feet are among his main qualities. His finishing in front of goal now seems to be taking on a new dimension.
The Senegalese does not hide his international ambitions, moreover. A call-up with the Lions' U23 squad is one of his goals.
For now, Guèye is progressing step by step. But with five goals already scored and a hat-trick in the Cup, the young forward has clearly made his mark.
The rest of the season will tell whether this is simply a fast start or the beginnings of a genuine step up in class.
