The Maghnes Akliouche case continues to drive the summer transfer window. While no agreement has yet been reached between PSG and AS Monaco, discussions between the two clubs are actively ongoing.
A stated priority: Paris and nothing else
According to several French media outlets, the player's position is unambiguous: Akliouche wants to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The French under-21 international is said to have made the capital club his priority destination and is not, at this stage, considering a move to another league.
This determination reinforces Paris's intentions. PSG has long appreciated the profile of the Monegasque attacking midfielder: versatile, creative, capable of operating in several attacking positions, he fits the project of Luis Enrique, who is eager to strengthen his squad with technical quality.
Monaco does not sell off its best players
The main obstacle, however, remains the Principality club. Monaco has no intention of easily parting with one of its most prominent players and is demanding a significant transfer fee. Its executives, well aware of the strong interest surrounding the player, have no intention of letting him go cheaply.
Other clubs, particularly in the Premier League, are also keeping a close eye on the situation. But according to the French press, Akliouche continues to favour PSG — a preference that could carry weight in the outcome of the negotiations.
A resolution hanging on finances
The case therefore remains open. If Paris manages to reach an agreement with Monaco on the transfer fee, the player's determination could well make the difference and bring Maghnes Akliouche one step closer to the Parc des Princes.
