Shooting Stars FC caused a minor upset by defeating CS Sfaxien (1-0) in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
Playing at home, the Nigerian club found the breakthrough thanks to Lucky Emmanuel, who scored the only goal of the match in the first half.
A decisive return leg in Tunisia
CS Sfaxien will now need to turn things around on home soil to continue their continental campaign. With only a one-goal deficit, the Tunisian side still have every chance ahead of the second leg.
Shooting Stars, for their part, can hope to pull off a fine result, but will need to withstand the pressure of a return match played on their opponent's turf.
