Djed Spence is closing in on a move to Inter Milan. Tottenham and the Lombard club have reached a verbal agreement for a transfer valued at 31.5 million euros, and the English full-back has also agreed on the personal terms of the contract.
However, the deal is not yet officially done. The final formalities still need to be completed: the medical examination, expected to take place in Milan, as well as the finalisation of the transfer documentation.
A career relaunched by the 2026 World Cup
At 26 years old, Spence arrives at a decisive turning point in his career. After several difficult spells since joining Tottenham, the Englishman had managed to rediscover his form and shine in England's colours at the 2026 World Cup. Those performances naturally attracted the interest of several clubs on the transfer market.
A profile that meets Inter's needs
On Inter's side, the choice appears consistent with the squad's requirements. The Milanese club is looking to strengthen its flanks and sees in Spence a player capable of operating both as a full-back and as a wing-back. His pace, defensive work rate and versatility make him a valuable additional option for what promises to be a particularly busy season.
Barring any last-minute setbacks, Djed Spence should soon be officially unveiled as a new Inter Milan player.
