Kasper Høgh made an immediate impact in his first weeks at Celtic. Signed this summer by the Glasgow club, the Danish forward scored a hat-trick in the first half during the Hoops' commanding victory on the pitch of Kilmarnock on 9 August (1-5). A debut that could not have been more convincing.
After a first match without a goal, Celtic's new number 9 this time showed his full efficiency in front of goal. Three goals in 35 minutes, before Benjamin Nygren and Luke McCowan came to complete the visitors' attacking festival.
For Celtic, the message is clear: Høgh can make an immediate impact. The warm reception given by the supporters to the forward at the time of his substitution confirmed the enthusiasm sparked by his performance.
The Dane could not have dreamed of a better response to the expectations placed on him. He will now need to confirm this over time, but Celtic may already have found their new attacking fan favourite.
