At just 20 years old, Christ Inao Oulaï is stepping up to yet another level. Revealed to the world with Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup, the Ivorian midfielder leaves Trabzonspor after just one season to officially join Fiorentina.
The Florentine club concluded the deal for 26 million euros guaranteed, with an additional 4 million euros in bonuses possible, bringing the potential total to 30 million euros. Trabzonspor also retains a percentage on any future resale.
From Yopougon to Serie A
Before discovering professional European football with Bastia, Oulaï had been spotted in Ivory Coast by the Jean-Marc Guillou Academy (JMG) during a scouting session in Yopougon. His former coach describes a player who was already exceptional, standing out from the rest from the very start thanks to his technique and personality.
After Bastia and then Trabzonspor, the midfielder truly came into his own in Turkey: 31 matches, 2 goals and 4 assists, crowned by a Turkish Cup title.
The World Cup as a catalyst
With the Elephants, Oulaï confirmed that he could hold his own at the highest level. Against Germany in particular, his activity in midfield caught the eye of observers:
