The future of Randal Kolo Muani now appears to be sealed. After several weeks of negotiations, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement for the French international's return to Turin. The news was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Gianluca Di Marzio and Romeo Agresti, three leading figures in the European transfer market.
A loan with a conditional purchase obligation
The two clubs have agreed on a loan with a conditional purchase obligation. This clause will be automatically triggered if Juventus secure a European qualification at the end of the season. The deal is valued at 38 million euros, with up to 12 million euros in bonuses potentially added, for a total amount that could reach 50 million euros.
A convincing first spell in Turin
This return had become a priority for the Turin club's management. During his first spell, Kolo Muani had quickly rediscovered his best form, winning the club over with his pace, mobility and ability to operate across the entire attacking line. His performances had convinced Juventus to do everything possible to keep him, despite sometimes complex negotiations with PSG.
A departure that suits both clubs
On the Parisian side, this departure is part of the club's desire to continue rebalancing its squad. Having arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023, Kolo Muani never managed to firmly establish himself as an undisputed starter in Parisian colours. PSG will nonetheless recoup a significant fee if the conditions of the purchase obligation are met.
For Juventus, this deal represents a major reinforcement ahead of the start of the new season. The Bianconeri are getting back a striker who already knows the club and its environment perfectly, while strengthening an attacking department that was among the priorities of this transfer window.
Formalities only remain
Barring a last-minute twist, all that now remains are the final administrative formalities, the medical examination and the official announcement of the transfer. Randal Kolo Muani is therefore on the verge of rejoining Juventus, where he hopes to build on the positive impression he made during his first spell.
