Stade Malien arrived in Yaoundé to face Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo this Sunday, in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Among the Malian club's players is Cameroonian Achille Fokem, who joined this summer following a strong season with Unisport du Haut-Nkam.
A fixture with special significance
This presence gives a particular dimension to this clash between the champions of Mali and Cameroon. Fokem knows Cameroonian football well and could help his new club benefit from his experience of the local league.
