The Club Africain has taken a slim but valuable advantage in its duel against Djoliba AC, in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Tunisians won 1-0 at home and will now have to defend this lead in the return leg, to be played in Mali.
Facing a Djoliba side that will play in front of its home crowd, Club Africain will need to show solidity to hold on to its lead. The Malian side remains fully in contention despite this defeat.
This narrow victory nevertheless puts the Tunisian club in a favourable position ahead of a second leg that promises to be particularly closely fought.
