Champions League: the final four fixtures of matchday one

Matchday one of the 2026-2027 Champions League is coming to an end. After the big clashes on Tuesday and Wednesday, six matches were still on the schedule this Thursday, September 10, to close out this first round.

The first two matches of the evening, played at 16:45 GMT, have now finished.

🇹🇷 Fenerbahçe 1-1 Roma 🇮🇹

In Istanbul, Fenerbahçe and Roma parted ways with a 1-1 draw. Bryan Cristante had given the Italians the lead before Archie Brown allowed the Turks to level the score. Both teams therefore come away with a point.

For Fenerbahçe, who are back in the Champions League league phase for the first time since 2008-2009, this draw represents an important first point against a Roma side well accustomed to European competition.

🇳🇱 PSV 1-1 Shakhtar Donetsk 🇺🇦

Same score in Eindhoven. PSV and Shakhtar Donetsk also settled for a 1-1 draw, in a match played at the start of the evening.

PSV will therefore have to make do with a home point on their opening matchday, while Shakhtar leave the Netherlands with an interesting result.

🇩🇪 Bayern Munich – Bodø/Glimt 🇳🇴

Bayern Munich enter the fray. Six-time European champions, the German club want to immediately show their ambitions in this new campaign. Harry Kane and his teammates are favorites against Bodø/Glimt, but the Norwegians arrive with a reputation as a team capable of causing problems for big European clubs.

🏴 Manchester United – Sabah 🇦🇿

This is one of the big events of the evening. Manchester United return to the Champions League after their absence from the competition since 2023. At Old Trafford, the Red Devils host Sabah, who are discovering the league phase for the first time after coming through four qualifying rounds.

🇮🇹 Como – RB Leipzig 🇩🇪

Another historic occasion: Como are discovering the Champions League league phase. The club coached by Cesc Fàbregas host RB Leipzig for a particularly eagerly awaited European debut.

🇨🇿 Slavia Prague – Lens 🇫🇷

Finally, Slavia Prague host RC Lens. Both teams want to start their campaign with a positive result and pick up valuable points in a league phase where every match counts.
