Mykhailo Mudryk has not played an official match since 2024: the Ukrainian Chelsea winger is now cleared to return to competition after serving his doping suspension.
The player had been banned from the pitch following a positive doping test. A prolonged period of absence, during which Chelsea had to manage without one of their most dangerous attacking profiles on the left flank. The London club had stood by their player throughout the process, without publicly distancing themselves from him.
His return comes at a particular moment for Chelsea, engaged on multiple fronts this season. Mudryk will need to rediscover his level and convince a coaching staff that has learned to operate without him. The path to regular playing time is still to be built, but the essential is there: the suspension has been lifted, and the player can once again set foot on an official pitch.
