Anguissa: Napoli push for contract extension

FootReporter · 10 août 2026

Napoli are accelerating their pursuit of a deal for Frank Zambo Anguissa. According to information from the Italian press, including Corriere dello Sport, the club is actively working on extending the Cameroonian midfielder's contract, with a new three-year deal currently on the table. The move is being driven directly by Massimiliano Allegri, who wishes to retain one of his key men in midfield.

Having arrived in Naples in 2021, Anguissa has gradually established himself as a benchmark in the middle of the park. His work rate, physical impact and ability to contribute in both phases of play make him a particularly valued member of the squad.

A contract until 2027, but Naples does not want to wait

The Cameroonian is currently under contract with Napoli until June 2027. Sporting director Giovanni Manna had already stated back in July that the club was fully counting on him. Despite this deadline still being some way off, Naples prefer to act early rather than let the situation drag on and see rival clubs take an interest in the player.

Negotiations are ongoing, but a definitive agreement has not yet been made official. For Anguissa, an extension would nonetheless confirm his status as an indispensable cornerstone of a Napoli side that intends to build the new Allegri era around him.
