The Benoît Badiashile file is seeing a notable acceleration. The French defender from Chelsea is now one of Napoli's priorities to strengthen their central defensive partnership, and discussions between the two clubs have progressed significantly in recent days.

Negotiations revolve around a loan with a purchase option. Chelsea, who no longer truly count on the former Monaco man in Xabi Alonso's project, are looking to secure his departure under the best possible conditions. The latest exchanges are still stalling on certain financial details of the deal — notably around a bonus of approximately 1 million euros — which for now prevents the transfer from being described as definitively concluded.
A sporting urgency for Allegri
On the Neapolitan side, the need to recruit is above all a sporting one. Alessandro Buongiorno is unavailable, while Sam Beukema is not yet fully fit. Massimiliano Allegri is therefore keen to quickly reinforce his defensive axis.
Badiashile fits the profile they are looking for: 25 years old, powerful in duels and comfortable playing out from the back. Qualities that match the Italian coach's immediate needs.
A chance for the player to relaunch his career
The defender does, however, come off a difficult season at Chelsea, with only 16 appearances across all competitions, including eight in the Premier League. Naples thus represents both an emergency solution for his manager and a genuine opportunity for the player to bounce back.
The file is now very advanced, but the final points of agreement between Chelsea and Napoli still need to be resolved. Badiashile is therefore not yet officially a player of the Italian club. Barring any new twist, however, the French defender is seriously closing in on Serie A.
