Iñaki Williams is back on the training pitches. The Ghanaian international striker has resumed sessions at the Lezama facility with Athletic Club, marking an important step in his recovery process following his injury.
This return to training is excellent news for Ernesto Valverde and his staff. The player is nevertheless expected to be reintegrated gradually, in order to rule out any risk of a setback. His presence on the pitch does, however, raise hopes of an imminent return to competition.
An absence that made itself felt
A key figure in the Basque attack for several seasons, Iñaki Williams brings his pace, power and experience to the collective. His absence had weighed on the club's attacking options, and his return should provide the manager with more solutions ahead of the upcoming Liga matchdays.
The next training sessions will allow his fitness to be assessed and determine whether he can quickly rejoin the squad for official matches.
