Paris Saint-Germain has clearly changed pace on the transfer market. After a relatively quiet start to the window, the capital club is now working simultaneously on three major files, all at a very advanced stage.
Godts and Torres: two agreements in principle reached
The Mika Godts file has taken a decisive step forward. PSG and Ajax Amsterdam have reached a verbal agreement for an estimated fee of 55 million euros. The 20-year-old Belgian winger, who has been pursued for several weeks, is seriously closing in on a move to Paris. The club had been forced to raise its offer following an initial Dutch rejection. Only the final formalities remain to be settled.
The Ferran Torres track is equally well advanced. PSG and FC Barcelona have concluded an agreement in principle of around 50 million euros for the Spanish international. The transfer is now entering its final phase, ahead of an imminent arrival in the French capital.
Suzuki: a complex scenario, but well underway
Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki is also expected to join Paris, in a deal valued at 35 million euros. The scenario being considered would include a subsequent loan to Juventus, although this part of the file still carries some uncertainty.
A transfer window tied to Barcola's uncertain future
These three potential signings would add to Lucas Digne, already officially confirmed following his return to PSG from Aston Villa. This acceleration is partly linked to the situation of Bradley Barcola, whose future in Paris is now highly uncertain. Discussions are ongoing with Liverpool, and the arrival of several attacking profiles could accompany a potential departure of the French winger.
Three files, significant fees and a clear ambition: PSG intends to keep strengthening a squad that has just won the Champions League. The Parisian transfer window is far from over.
