Paris Saint-Germain Football Club has reached an agreement with FC Barcelona for the transfer of Ferran Torres. The 26-year-old Spanish forward is leaving Catalonia to join the French capital. The financial details of the deal have not been made public at this stage.
Torres is a versatile attacking profile, capable of playing on both wings as well as through the middle. In the current season with Barcelona, he has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 417 minutes of play across all competitions. These figures reflect a player used inconsistently by his boyhood club, which partly explains his desire for a change. A Spanish international and world champion, Torres brings to the Parisian dressing room a high-level experience that Luis Enrique knows well: the PSG manager himself worked with him in the national team.
On PSG's side, the arrival of Torres addresses a concrete need.
