Martin Terrier between Rennes and OM for a Ligue 1 return

FootReporter · 30 juillet 2026

Martin Terrier could return to Ligue 1 in the coming weeks. The French striker, who left an excellent impression during his time at Stade Rennais, is said to be once again among the Breton club's priorities to strengthen their attack before the summer transfer window closes.

A profile that ticks all the boxes at Rennes

In search of an experienced player capable of operating both on the wing and in support of a centre-forward, Rennes sees Terrier as a particularly appealing option. His knowledge of the club, his mastery of the league and his effectiveness during his previous seasons in Brittany are all arguments that speak in his favour.

OM enter the race

The situation looks set to be far from straightforward, however. Olympique de Marseille are also said to be monitoring his situation closely and could attempt to convince the player to join the Phocaean project. This competition could drive up the price should talks accelerate in the coming days.

A saga still unresolved

For now, no agreement has been reached and the details of a potential deal remain unclear. The length of a possible contract, the transfer fee and the state of negotiations have not yet been revealed. The situation could nevertheless see rapid developments as the transfer window enters its decisive phase.
