Nicolas Jackson: Chelsea set their price at €70M, three clubs on the lookout

FootReporter · 16 août 2026

The future of Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea remains an open question. According to several sources, the London club has set the price for their Senegalese striker at around 60 million pounds sterling, or close to 69 million euros.

Three suitors, one financial obstacle

Three clubs are currently positioning themselves on the matter: Aston Villa, Tottenham and Atlético de Madrid. This competition could accelerate negotiations, but the amount demanded by Chelsea represents the main sticking point in discussions for the time being.

A return from Munich with no follow-up

Jackson returns from a season spent on loan at Bayern Munich. The Bavarian club ultimately did not activate their purchase option, and the Senegalese international has therefore returned to London. He must now convince Xabi Alonso, the Blues' new manager, to grant him a place in his project.

The player does not appear to be in any rush to turn the page. Jackson is said to have expressed his desire to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place under the Spanish coach. A tough task: the Blues' attacking department is particularly crowded, with João Pedro and Liam Delap among the direct competition.

A 70-million-euro dilemma

For Chelsea, the equation is clear: sell a 25-year-old striker, under contract until 2033, for a sum of around 70 million euros, or keep him and trust him within an already very dense attacking project.

The transfer window is open. Jackson, for his part, has not yet decided to walk through the door.
