Antonio Nusa: Roma believe in it, Leipzig holds firm

FootReporter · 8 août 2026

Antonio Nusa is one of the attacking targets being followed with the closest attention by AS Roma this summer 2026. The Norwegian winger from RB Leipzig has been presented in the Italian press as a priority for the Roman club to strengthen their attack — without the situation being, at this stage, close to a conclusion.

Roma have shown concrete interest in the player over recent weeks. Nusa's profile matches the expectations of Gian Piero Gasperini: young, explosive, technical and capable of making the difference in one-on-one situations. Aged 21, the Norwegian was trained in his home country before moving through Club Bruges and then joining Leipzig.

Leipzig stands its ground

The main obstacle remains the German club's firmness. Leipzig has no intention of letting their winger go easily, a stance flagged as early as mid-July by several specialist sources. His valuation, reported at around 55 to 60 million euros in the Italian press, further complicates the equation for the Romans.

The Bundesliga club also has a financial situation solid enough to avoid being forced into a sale. As of August 8, no concrete negotiations between the two clubs have been confirmed — with some information even pointing in the opposite direction, suggesting that talks have not really started.

A file still open

It would therefore be premature to speak of an imminent agreement or advanced negotiations. Roma nonetheless continues to regard Nusa as an important option for their attacking department. The coming weeks will be decisive in determining whether this interest can genuinely lead to a transfer.
